Origin of the name Taikisha

Taikisha was established in 1913 as a business specializing in the sale of construction materials.
Taikisha changed its name to Taikisha Ltd. to mark its 60th anniversary in 1973. At the time, pollution was a growing concern in Japan.

In addition to its positive image, the word "air (our company name, Taiki means air)" also has a significant negative image. Therefore, if we demonstrate the attitude that we just use air for our business, the negative image will remain.
Instead, we must express our intention to continuously and aggressively work to combat air pollution in order to recover pure and clean air just as we have done in the past.
It is true that the recovery of clean air and environment is never easy. It is very difficult to even just prevent pollution from becoming more serious.
Nevertheless, we believe that we must mark this important anniversary making the aggressive challenge of seeking clean air our basic policy.
