Taikisha's Efforts

Reduction and Proper Disposal of Industrial Waste Generated at Workplaces

An Environmental Management Plan is prepared at each workplace, and measures for the reduction of industrial waste, such as the promotion of the use of prefabrication and precut materials and minimization of packing materials, are implemented. Disposal of industrial waste is managed at a cross-company level under the supervision of an environmental data administrator at each workplace by checking whether materials have been appropriately disposed of through the status of consignment contracts and stored manifests.

Proper Disposal of Refrigerant Freon

When devices or equipment with refrigerant freon are removed during repair work, management of manifests relating to the collection and proper disposal of freon based on the "Refrigerant Freon Collection Plan/Report" are carefully carried out at each workplace. The Green Technology System Division quantifies industrial waste at registered domestic sites and calculates the amount of construction by-products based on the floor space of each construction.

Green Procurement and Paperless Operation By On-Line Purchasing System Through Internet

We have progressed “GREEN PROCUREMENT” by means of purchasing and/or adopting the products conforming to the rules for Green Purchasing for our production purpose such as system design and construction works.

However, we have recently started enhanced activity since 2009 in terms of “GREEN PROCUREMENT”, including new equipments, system, working methods and technologies, with our own bench mark and monitoring system, for the purpose of reducing the impact on the environment.

Our new bench marks are now in operation as “Guidelines for Green Procurement” on April 2010.
We do promote our activity in all of our divisions and departments for us to contribute to reducing the impact on the environment in future.

Meanwhile, as far as office works concerns, we have been promoting on-line purchasing “TOPS” so as to reduce cost of office stationeries and improve office work efficiency and successfully achieved paperless on-line purchasing through internet, which renders purchase requisition paper works free and reduces account slip for payment drastically.

Promotion of Education on the Environment and Encouragement to Obtain Official Certifications

Taikisha provides education on how our environmental technologies contribute to reduction of the impact on the environment not only to the personnel who are directly involved with environmental activities, but also to new employees and sales representatives. In addition, we conduct annual audits on industrial waste disposal conducted by intermediate processors. Our company posts the "Environmental Laws and Regulations Management File" and "Complaints Regarding Quality and Environmental Issues" on the in-house network so that personnel involved with the relevant operations can refer to them as and when required. We have also introduced a system to encourage employees to obtain official certifications and offer an extra incentive as a reward for those who obtain qualifications (such as energy management, pollution control manager and other qualifications) that are useful for environmental measures.
